Thank you Lord for the sunshine...we have been so lucky to have 85 degree weather this past week! :) Feels like Hawaii. Yesterday I hungout with Americans all day...it was different not hearing British accents! Took a tube (by myself!) to Marylebone High St to meet Diane, a fellow Californian in London, for lunch at Strada...best spaghetti I've ever had! Now I'll have to go to Italy to try "real pasta." Then Picadilly Circus with Michelle and Natasha from Westmont! So lovely to see familiar faces again. We ate the best ice cream at the "Icecreamists Boutique"...tastes a bit like gelato, but better! I love Covent Garden...such a cute little town of restaurants and street performers.
Now I'm about to meet Kat (another Time for God volunteer/Westmonter) for lunch/coffee near Greenwich...cheerio!
THE SERENITY PRAYER...
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
